Just be warned, it's really easy to go overboard buying souvenirs in India since everything is so unique and gorgeous.Delhi's Dilli Haat is a great place to get a taste of India. This market was set up by the government for artisans to showcase their goods. You'll be amazed by all the vibrant colors, tantalizing smells, and cultural performances – you won't want to miss it!Go on a Street Tour of Old DelhiIf you want to get a real feel for the Indian culture, street food is the way to go. It's understandable to be concerned about Delhi belly, but there are precautions you can take.It's definitely worth trying the street food in Old Delhi if you wanna experience all the amazing flavors of Indian cuisine! It's the street food capital and it's way more affordable than restaurants. You won't find it in many tourist guides, but it's worth a visit for its tranquil atmosphere. Sikh Temples are quite humbling, often providing free meals to anyone who visits, no matter their faith or background. Agra is the next stop on your Golden Triangle Itinerary and it's not quite as hard as Delhi. But the must-see in Agra is the Taj Mahal - a man-made wonder everyone should see in their lifetime. It's like a diamond in the rough!Don't miss out on these highlights in Agra when you visit India's Golden Triangle.The Taj MahalWe were anxious that the Taj Mahal would be a letdown, despite hearing many interpretations of how beautiful it was. All our worries were for nothing, because it was impossible to describe how beautiful the Taj Mahal is. The sunrise here was ethereal. We watched the sunlight hit the marble dome, and it was almost like a dream. Security here is tight, so make sure you check out what items are restricted.*Remember – the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.Agra FortAgra Fort used to be where all the powerful emperors lived back in the day. Now, it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and while it's not the most amazing site in India, it's still worth visiting. You can easily explore the palaces and halls and you can even catch a glimpse of the Taj Mahal.Sikindra – Emperor Akbar's MausoleumThis monument is the final resting place of Emperor Akbar, a 15th century Mughal ruler who was known for his tolerant attitude towards religion. The mausoleum reflects this, with a mix of Hindu, Islamic, Christian, Jain and Buddhist elements. We thought it'd be cool to give you a heads-up about this hidden gem and share it with you in a more casual way.Sunset at Mehtab BaghWhen we first heard about Mehtab Bagh, otherwise known as the Moonlight Golden, we were told it was a secret viewpoint of the Taj Mahal. Naturally, we were intrigued, and we set off one evening at sunset. Gorgeous gardens, stunning Taj Mahal, and breathtaking sunset make this place special. Even in the worst weather, it's still incredible.
